Sudbury-Manitoulin District is one of the 42 districts under the jurisdiction of The Grand Lodge of Canada, in the Province of Ontario. This website provides comprehensive information about the programs and activities of the lodges of the Sudbury-Manitoulin District.
Freemasonry is not a religion but you must believe in a supreme being to become one . We take good men and make them better. We are spread throughout the globe but our District pays allegiance to the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. The first Grand Lodge was formed 300 years ago by four Lodges in London England . Lodges existed before that time but this became the first time they organized themselves as a group to bring stability to the Rituals. It then spread itself amongst the colonies europe and the Globe . We are not a secret society but we do have secrets. If you wish to become a mason you must ask one.
